Training & Education

The training committee is responsible for the organization and coordination of training programs for the benefit of member departments.

Legislation

The Legislative Committee is responsible for keeping aware of proposed, pending and enacted legislation that affects public works and to report thereon to the Association and to take whatever action in the legislative matters that the Association may direct.

Disaster Planning

The Disaster Planning Committee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current inventory of sources of assistance in manpower and equipment that may be available to a member department in case of need in an emergency situation

Liaison

The SSMMA Liaison Committee shall act as a liaison between the SSMMA and the Association

Sickness & Distress

The Sickness & Distress Committee is responsible for reporting to the Association on the illness or death of a member or of his immediate family and, in appropriate cases, sending an expression of sympathy from the Association
